Complexion Blending
Complexion Blending™ is a Cultura trademark describing the process of evening out the patient's uneven skin tone by removing unwanted dark spots on skin, fading melasma, removing blemishes or blood vessels and freckles.
Cultura's goal is to make wearing makeup optional by enhancing the patient's natural beauty to a level that need not be camouflaged because of an even skin tone.. We call it creating the “Cultura Glow.” Some include complexion blending under the Skin Rejuvenation category but at Cultura we separate them into different categories. At Cultura we define Skin Rejuvenation to mean methods of improving skin texture by decreasing pore size, fine “crepe paper” wrinkles, acne & traumatic scars.
The expertise behind Cultura’s exceptional complexion blending results is achieved by Cultura’s Cultura Integrated Approach (C.I.A.) which combines complexion blending lasers with tailored skin care and personally prescribed skin product regimens and individually tailored medical spa treatments. Cultura’s dermatologists, aestheticians and skin product specialists have earned stellar reputations for exceptional complexion blending by personalizing services for all patients..
For patients with lighter skin tones, Cultura’s physicians choose from among 7 different non-invasive lasers to remove unwanted dark spots, facial moles removal and to remove melasma (symmetrical pigmented patches) which can be caused by over-exposure to the sun, trauma, or medical conditions.
Because there is no recovery period with these lasers, patients can return to work or be seen by friends immediately after they have been treated. Most of Cultura’s lasers are non-invasive (Fractional, Fraxel, Genesis, Cooltouch, IPL (laser photorejuvenation facial) & Diolite) and require 3-6 monthly treatments.
For patients who want a slightly more aggressive approach and don’t mind experiencing redness for a few days, Cultura has minimally invasive lasers available, such as the CO2 or Cutera Pearl, which require only one or two treatments to achieve the desired results.
In addition Cultura has numerous lasers with the capacity to remove capillaries and leg veins.
Cultura takes pride in being able to treat patients with skin of color with the same safety and efficacy as patients with lighter skin.
Cultura’s 7 lasers that can safely be used on darker skin include: Fractional, Fraxel, Cutera Genesis, Candela GentleYAG, Cynosure Affirm, Cooltouch & Diolite.
These lasers are used to remove unwanted dark spots, melasma & moles which also can be caused by: over-exposure to the sun; trauma; and hormonal changes from pregnancy, birth control pills and menopause. Cultura’s success comes from tailoring treatment to the patient and combining appropriate laser treatments with cosmeceuticals, prescriptions which may include very high strength hydroquinone (bleaching cream) to help to bleach the skin and lighten the skin; and spa services (dermatology facials, chemical peels, dermabrasion & microdermabrasion). Although there is no melasma cure, Cultura’s C.I.A. treatment for melasma strategy is able to maintain an even skin tone.
To create the “Cultura Glow” Cultura often combines microdermabrasion with laser treatments on the same day, alternating different lasers during the patient's monthly visits.
